"Man Up" Time
I remember back in the day when I used to go thrift store shopping... or any shopping for that matter, I used to look for the most ridiculous patterns and prints. EVERYTHING had to be uber-unique. I'm sort of straying away from that as of late. I realize that lately especially, I've been reaching for those basic colors and cuts.
But don't think I don't still get those unique items! I actually find that now I can USE THEM much more often than before. The trick is... utilizing those basics in a way that allows the unique items to pop. Don't get me wrong... I will still to this day utilize WAY too many items at once, but I'm definitely calming it down :)
So here you see me in a simple white men's tee, brown librarian skirt and then POP! teal leggings and cheetah shoes. (I also stole that brown belt from the bf to try and get more of a high-waisted paper bag look for the skirt)
Shirt - Target
Skirt - Thrifted
Belt - bf closet
Leggings - FABulous store in Colorado I can't remember the name of
Shoes - Charlotte Rouse (I know I know)
New Hair, New Store, New Life
For those of you who follow my blog, I've been going through some major life changes as of late. In December of last year I decided to start up my own little boutique in downtown Phoenix. Crazy!?! Yes. Necessary?!? ABSOLUTELY.
So in February I opened up shop on 7th Ave. and Montecito, right in the heart of the Melrose Vintage District. So far I love it! Up and down and left and right I love it!
But now that things have had time to sort of quiet down and the school year is coming to an end I can broaden my horizons past my store and back to things I really miss. I used to update this blog like crazy with outfits and I'd like to start that back up... at least for the summer.
So here goes!
Shirt: Thrifted
Skirt: Target
Shoes: Target
Hat: Thrifted

Pretty Bows and Hats xo
I am completely obsessed with these hair adornments.
They are made by Chatham Girl on Etsy and I absolutely love their flair. Yesterday I bought a couple vintage 80's large flouncy bows clips. These remind me so much of them!

Sweeeet Suits
I am obsessed with pinup swimwear as of late. The sun is already burning bright here in Phoenix and I have swimming on the mind. I'm anxious to get some of this sweetness in my boutique, but where to start? I can only realistically hold a handful of beauties and sizes. I wonder what the sizes are of my followers? I myself am an XL. I also prefer one-pieces, but am I the norm? What do you fine folks of blogger world think?

So this is it!
Let me introduce to you my new little shop storefront!
I like to think we're small but mighty. I've since added my lovely store vinyl banner on the window and just spray-painted the address number white :) It's coming along folks! And just in time for the Grand Opening this Friday the 5th.

hello little tree
I let Jason play with my new camera a bit. Who wouldn't LOVE playing with a DSLR?!? You feel like a pro! So I had Blueberry and I outside next to our little fledgling of a tree.
PLUS!! I realize I haven't really had any outfit pictures lately!

old blue
Since I've been taking pictures at my parent's house lately (due to lack of space at my own) I've enlisted some new help. Introducing Old Blue, one of my new photography partners.
Old Blue rather enjoys traveling and small, non-boxy objects. He's really given some nice character to some otherwise dull shoe pictures ;)

on pins and necklaces.
Finally putting up some jewelry and accessories! I don't know why I have such a hard time wanting to sell these. It might be because no matter what they fit me. It might be the fact that I can store hundreds with ease. But a girl needs to share the wealth. So they're heading your way on my wee little Etsy shop.
Enjoy!
